Itinerary
Suggested Itinerary
Day 01: Lugano
Arrive in Switzerland and make your way to Lugano. Enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere in this southern town. Stroll along the lakeside promenade or go up to Monte Bre or San Salvatore. Overnight in Lugano.
Day 02: Lugano
Today you can take an optional excursion to Swiss Miniatur which is in Melide, a convenient 7 minute train trip from Lugano. This special attraction of Switzerland, covering an area of 14,000 sq mts, houses replicas of the famous buildings, castles and cathedrals, and has over 3500 mts of rail with no less than 18 trains, funiculars and cable cars in motion. Overnight in Lugano.
Day 03: Zermatt
You have a wonderful journey to look forward to today. Take the train from Lugano to Andermatt (we suggest you take a train at around 1100 hrs). From Andermatt you connect to the Glacier Express and experience one of the best train journeys in the world which will take you to Zermatt. Overnight in Zermatt.
Day 04: Zermatt - Montreux
Spend the day in this car free resort where horse drawn carriages and sleighs along with electric cars are the only vehicles you will see. Zermatt is surrounded by 38 mountains which are around 4000 meters high. Time permitting, take an optional excursion to Gornergrat or Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Late afternoon, make your way to Montreux. Overnight in Montreux.
Day 05: Montreux - Rochers - De-Naye
Today visit Rochers-De-Naye, a one hour journey by cogwheel train from Montreux. The 2045 metre mountain offers an imposing view over the Alps, Lake Geneva and the Swiss Romande region. If you are lucky, you will view several species of Marmot from around the world, which live in several large enclosures. Also visit La Rambertia, the Alpine garden where you can examine nearly 800 varieties of Alpine plants and flowers. Overnight in Montreux.
Day 06: Interlaken
Make your way to Interlaken, the town nestled between Lake Thun and Brienz. Arrive and spend the rest of the day visiting the Hoheweg with its quaint cafes, boutiques and jewellery stores. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 07: Interlaken - Glacier
This morning travel to Gstaad and onward to Col Du Pillon which is the base of the Glacier 3000. Once on top, there are various activities for young and old. The one kilometre Alpine Coaster, the worlds highest bobsleigh track, is a must. There are also husky dog sled rides, the snow bus and skiing galore. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 08: Lucerne
The day starts with a memorable rail trip on the GoldenPass Line from Interlaken to the city of lights- Lucerne (panoramic coach seats in 1st class only). Arrive in Lucerne and spend the day at leisure visiting the Swiss Transport Museum, the IMAX Theatre or the Lion Monument on your own. Overnight in Lucerne.
Day 09: Lucerne – Mt. Pilatus
This morning get set to depart for an excursion to The Dragon Mountain Pilatus. Board the lake Lucerne cruise from Lucerne to Alpnachstad, then up to Pilatus by the steepest cogwheel railway in the world (from mid May to mid November). During winter you take the bus from Lucerne to Kriens and further a panoramic gondola from Kriens to Pilatus. Overnight in Lucerne.
Day 10: End of tour
This morning depart to a Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland on your own.

Interlaken

Lucerne
Gateway to central Switzerland. Thanks to its attractions, its souvenir and watch shops, the beautiful lakeside setting and the nearby excursion mountains of the Rigi, Pilatus and Stanserhorn, the town is a destination for many travel groups and individuals.
Montreux
The town of Montreux nestles in a sheltered Lake Geneva bay, surrounded by vineyards and against the breathtaking backdrop of snow-covered Alps. The Montreux Jazz Festival, which takes place in June/July and features concerts on a variety of stages and parks is very famous.
Lugano
Lugano is a lakeside city in Ticino, the Italian-speaking part of southern Switzerland. Part of a temperate micro-climate, Lugano offers palm trees, picturesque boulevards, stunning views of the lake and the Alps, and plenty of opportunity for outdoor and indoor activities. Lugano also makes a good base for visiting other cities and sites in the area. The city is a pleasant place to relax in the summertime and is only half an hour away from Lake Como.
Zermatt
Zermatt is a tiny village, (approximately 6000 people, but swells to some 20000 guests during the winter high-season), situated at the foot of the Matterhorn in the German-speaking canton of Valais in southern Switzerland. Located just 10 kilometers from the Italian border.Zermatt is renowned as one of the best ski resorts in the Alps and is the favoured place to ski by many skiers who come here from all over the world. The village is surrounded by 3 major ski areas, with the world`s second biggest lift-served vertical drop and skiing 364 days a year. You can even ski Zermatt during the summer months on the glacier.

Booking Condition
- A non - refundable deposit of 25% of total tour cost to initiate a booking if travel date is more than 30 days from the date of booking.
- Photocopies of the passport
Cancellation Policy
- Prior to 30 days or more: Non – refundable deposit (25%of the total package)
- Between 29 - 20 days of departure: Non – refundable deposit + 25% of the Holiday Cost
- Between 19 - 14 days of departure: Non – refundable deposit + 50% of the Holiday Cost
- Between 13 - 08 days of departure: Non – refundable deposit + 75% of the Holiday Cost
- Prior to 7 days of the departure: 100% of the Holiday Cost
Note: If the entire tour is cancelled after ticket issuance then there would be 100% cancellation for airfare (base fare). Only taxes will be returned and for land 75% cancellation.
Terms & Conditions
- Standard check in time & check out time is 1400hrs and 1200hrs respectively unless specified otherwise. Requests for early check in or late check out is subject to availability in hotel. Request for guaranteed early check in requires room to be reserved from the night prior to guest’s arrival which will be charged accordingly over and above the agreed rates.
- Breakfast served in hotel would be on international menu clubbed with some Indian dishes.
- Colorful Vacations Pvt. Ltd. will process visa application for the group and will require the specified list of supporting documents for the same as per embassy regulations. However, Embassy reserves the right to grant the visa as Colorful Vacations Pvt. Ltd. will only act as a facilitator.
- Final day wise itinerary can only be modified by Colorful Vacations Pvt. Ltd. to accommodate all cost inclusions and commitments by Colorful Vacations Pvt. Ltd. in best possible way.
- It is advisable to carry at least USD 500 (or any applicable equivalent currency) per person for personal usage during the package depending on the cost inclusions. Immigration authorities might demand to show minimum USD 500 at the time of immigration from Indian nationals.
- Price quoted by Colorful Vacations Pvt. Ltd. is based on current rate of exchange, and reserves the right to amend these prices in case of any currency fluctuations and changes in various rates of exchange.
